Therapeutic Playschool

A Program of Progressive Pediatrics Therapy

Helping children build confidence, regulation, social skills, and preschool readiness through meaningful play in a supportive small-group environment

Our Therapeutic Playschool is a unique preschool readiness program designed and led by a licensed pediatric occupational therapist. Through engaging, play-based activities in a small group setting, children develop the confidence, self-regulation, social skills, motor abilities, and independence they need to thrive in preschool and beyond.

Every activity is intentionally designed to support each child’s development while making learning fun, meaningful, and successful.

Is Therapeutic Playschool Right For Your Child

This program may be a good fit for children who are working on:

  • Difficulty with transitions or changes in routine
  • Social interaction and peer play skills
  • Sensory processing differences
  • Fine motor or gross motor delays
  • Following directions and participating in group activities
  • Emotional regulation and confidence
  • Preschool readiness and independence

What Makes Our Program Different?

Small Group Setting
Our goal is to maintain an exceptional 2:1 to 2.5:1 child-to-adult ratio, creating an environment where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to succeed.

Led by a Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Each group is led by a licensed pediatric occupational therapist and supported by an experienced educational support staff member

Play-Based Learning
Children learn through meaningful play. Every session blends movement, sensory experiences, imaginative play, art, music, and hands-on activities.

Parent Partnership
We believe parents are an essential part of every child’s success. Families receive ongoing communication, practical strategies, and collaborative support to help children carry new skills from Therapeutic Playschool into everyday life.

A Typical Day

Each day is thoughtfully planned to promote learning, confidence, and independence through fun, meaningful experiences. Children participate in circle time, sensory play, fine motor activities, gross motor play, arts and crafts, music and movement, imaginative play, social skills practice, and preschool readiness activities – all within a supportive, small-group environment.

Our small groups provide children with opportunities to build friendships, practice communication, and gain confidence in a fun, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to succeed.
