Brad Jones, OTR/L, c/NDT, Occupational Therapist, Owner/Director
Brad Jones received his degree in Occupational Therapy from Western Michigan University in 1993. The first 7 years of his career was spent working in a multi-disciplinary environment, with highly trained therapist’s representing all disciplines. He was provided the experience necessary to develop a more holistic approach to working with children. Brad completed an 8-week certification course in NDT (Neuro-Developmental Treatment), as well training and course work in the DIR/Floortime Model with Stanley Greenspan. Brad is also certified in Therapeutic Listening and has implemented this specialized program with numerous children. Brad has owned and operated Progressive Pediatrics, his own private practice in Northbrook, since 2002. Over the 20+ years of his career, he has had the pleasure and opportunity to serve hundreds of families and children with a wide variety of challenges; including, but not limited to, neurological, developmental, Autistic Spectrum, ADD/ADHD, and sensory processing & regulatory deficits.
Julie Conway, OTR/L, c/NDT, Occupational Therapist
Julie Conway is an occupational therapist. She received her degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas. Julie began her career in the Chicago Public Schools in 1992. After staying with the schools for 4 years she moved to a clinical setting at City Kids, Inc in Chicago, and then later at Progressive Pediatrics in Northbrook. Julie completed the 8 week Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) certification course in 1996. She is also experienced with working with children with sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum and related disorders. Julie enjoys working closely with families to help their child reach their maximum potential.
Susan Swidler, MOT, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist
With 23 years of experience as an occupational therapist, Susan specializes in pediatric care across multi-disciplinary clinics, homes, and schools. She has been a dedicated team member at Judy Katz OTR/L and Assoc for the past decade. Susan holds a Bachelor’s in Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern. Certified in NDT, DIR/Floortime, Therapeutic Listening, Interactive Metronome, and kinesiotaping, she also integrates yoga into her therapy sessions as a certified children’s yoga instructor. Outside of work, Susan enjoys biking, yoga, mahjong, reading, and spending time with her dog Tito.
Allison Schneider, MS, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist
Allison is a certified and licensed occupational therapist with over a decade of experience. She received her undergraduate degree with a major of Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy at Washington University, St. Louis. She is a certified Early Intervention provider for the state of Illinois and has worked with infants through school-aged children in a variety of settings including private clinic, school, camp, specialty classes and at home. Allison has received extensive training in many treatment approaches including DIR/Floortime and Therapeutic Listening. She is a Certified Educator of Infant Massage through IMUSA, and a certified pediatric yoga instructor through Global Family Yoga. Allison has extensive knowledge and training in Sensory Integration. She enjoys collaborating with parents to help them better understand how to support their child’s individual needs. Allison creates a positive and safe environment, in which the child can engage, explore, and master new skills.
Tracy Milefchik, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist
Tracy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado (1995) and Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois (2000). Since then, she has spent the majority of her career working with infants and children. She has worked in a variety of settings including private pediatric clinics, early childhood and elementary schools, and home-based early intervention. Her experience entails helping children with a variety of diagnoses including autism, ADHD, sensory integration and processing disorders, regulatory and executive functioning disorders, as well as developmental motor delays and other diagnoses involving special needs. Specialized training and credentialing in programs such as DIR/Floortime, Early Intervention, Therapeutic Listening, Handwriting Without Tears and Interactive Metronome have proven to be invaluable non tools when working with her clients over the years. Tracy is a mother of 4 and keeps busy following college and high school sports as well as playing competitive platform tennis and pickleball. She enjoys skiing, time at the gym, walking her two English Cream retrievers and traveling with her husband.
